On this special episode of Finding Christ in Cinema we reconsider all the movies we’ve discussed so far to gain insight into how we can use Storytelling for the Kingdom. What is it about stories that soften our hearts? How can Christians use that when planting seeds for God?
Men do not long continue to think what they have forgotten how to say. – C.S. Lewis
Fantasy [story] remains a human right: we make in our measure and in our derivative mode, because we are made: and not only made, but made in the image and likeness of a Maker. – J.R.R. Tolkien
In Finding Christ In Cinema we dig deeper into the silver-screen classics of yesteryear as well as the box-office hits of today. We take a closer look at the stories they tell and see if we find the face of Jesus looking back. Together we explore the deeper meanings of these films; their plots and their twists; the characters and their choices; and see how we can relate them to the gospel of salvation and ultimately our Christian walk.
